Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, saving a draft, depositing a dream, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. The deposit control states, directly under Deposit dream, that depositing a dream follows these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Deposit a Dream is a platform that allows users to record, process, and keep their dreams. Users can purchase "Sparks" (our digital credits) to unlock enhancements for deposited dreams, such as illustrations, video generation, structural editing, and deep readings. The public archive also contains material created and reviewed by our own automated systems, described in section 6.

3. Depositing a Dream

Depositing a dream is a request to process that dream under these Terms. A deposit spends Sparks for the enhancements you select. A draft is not a deposit. Saving a draft does not publish it.

Unless a safety rule in section 5 says otherwise, a deposited dream is public. Public is the default. We do not ask you to opt in to public visibility at the moment you press Deposit dream. A public dream may appear on Explore, in search, in similar-dream results, on public pages such as meanings and themes, and in our sitemap, and it may be indexed by search engines. Other people can open it without an account when the page is public.

Private visibility is a paid capability on the Dreamer and Visionary plans. If your plan includes it and you set that dream to private, we keep it out of Explore, public search, and the sitemap. A free account cannot switch a public deposit to private. Read this section before you deposit a night you do not want other people to read.

4. User Accounts and Content

You must maintain the security of your account and are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You retain ownership of the dream text you submit. By submitting content, you grant Deposit a Dream a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, translate, illustrate, and display that content for the purpose of providing the Service, including the public display described in section 3 when the dream is public. You agree not to submit unlawful, abusive, harassing, or copyright-infringing material. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our safety rules.

5. Safety Classification

Before a deposit is accepted, automated review assigns the dream one of three labels: safe, warning, or unsafe. Unsafe can stop publication. Warning does not. You may see the label while you write. The label is a product rule, not a judgment about you as a person.

Safe. A safe deposit follows section 3. It is public unless your plan includes private visibility and you set that dream to private. A safe public dream may be listed, searched, and indexed.

Warning. A warning dream stays in the index. If it is public under section 3, it may be listed, searched, and indexed the same way as a safe public dream. Warning is the label for NSFW material in a dream: adult sexual content or graphic violence that is not illegal. An NSFW filter applies to those dreams. The filter uses the warning label so that material is separated from the ordinary browse. Indexing still includes the dream.

Unsafe. An unsafe dream will not be published. We do not place it on Explore, in search, in the sitemap, or on a public page. We may refuse the deposit entirely, show you an error instead of creating the dream, and record a safety flag on the account. Unsafe covers material our review treats as real-world harm or illegal content, and material that tries to instruct or probe the product instead of describing a dream.

6. Automated Creation and Review

Deposit a Dream operates automated software accounts and jobs, which these Terms call "bots." Bots are not users, they do not have a night of sleep, and a page they produce is not a report from a human dreamer. You should read the public archive with that fact in mind. A public page, a similar-dream row, a replica count, a category page, or a number of dreams on the homepage is not, by itself, evidence that another person had your dream, dreamed on the same night, or shares your life.

Bots create content. On a schedule, our systems invent first-person dream journal text, assign it to an automated account, and run that text through the same classification, translation, illustration, and publishing pipeline used for a human deposit. We do this so the public archive, category pages, and early browsing surfaces are not an empty website while real deposits are still few. Bot-written dreams can receive a title, a short description, scene structure, and generated images. They can appear beside human deposits in Explore, on the homepage strip, in search, on meanings and theme pages, and in the sitemap. We do not promise a badge, byline, or other marker on each bot-written page. Absence of a marker does not mean a person wrote it.

Bots also review content. Separate automated steps read draft text and deposit text in order to classify language, category, type, and style, to translate, to score safety as safe, warning, or unsafe, and to decide whether a deposit may be published. Those review steps can block an unsafe deposit, mark a dream as warning so the NSFW filter applies, or allow a safe dream to go public under section 3. Review bots can be wrong. A safe label is not a promise that the text is lawful in every country, and a warning or unsafe label is not a criminal finding.

Generated images, video, readings, and titles are also machine output, whether the source text came from you or from a bot. Matching tools that suggest "similar" dreams compare signals in the archive. A match can pair your deposit with another person's deposit or with bot-written filler. Replica counts and public totals can include both. Do not treat those numbers as a census of human dreamers.

We may change how often bots write, which categories they fill, and how review thresholds work, without turning the archive into a feed that is only human. If you need a record that is only your own words, use a private dream or a draft, and do not rely on the public archive as a directory of real people.

7. Draft dreams

Draft dreams let you save dream text without spending sparks or receiving illustrations, scene artwork, categorization, or deep readings. You may create and edit an unlimited number of drafts on any plan.

While a dream stays in draft status, it remains private to your account, is not listed on Explore, and is not indexed or classified the same way as a deposited (processed) dream.

You may return to a draft at any time to edit the text before depositing. Depositing converts the draft into a processed dream and applies the spark costs and enhancements you select at that time.

We do not train AI models on draft text. We may update our own tools, prompts, and rules so those tools become more precise. That work does not publish your individual draft on Explore, in public search, or in a search-engine index.

8. Purchases and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Polar Software, Inc. (polar.sh), for all orders. Polar Software, Inc. provides billing support, collects applicable taxes, and handles payment inquiries and returns according to their buyer terms and policies. When you purchase Sparks or a subscription, your payment is processed through Polar Software, Inc., and you agree to their terms for payment processing.

9. Sparks and Billing

"Sparks" are digital credits used within the Service to access premium features. Sparks are consumed when you deposit or upgrade dreams based on the enhancements you select. Purchases of Sparks are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or specified by our merchant of record. Sparks have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

10. Artificial Intelligence, Readings, and Models

We do not train AI models on your dreams, drafts, voice, account data, or birth details. We do not use that material to train, fine-tune, or improve a foundation model.

We send content to processors only so they can perform the task you asked for: transcription, classification, translation, illustration, video, and readings. When we improve the Service, we update our own tools, prompts, and rules so those tools become more precise. Updating a tool is not the same as training a model on your nights.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate text, images, and video from submitted dreams, and to write optional readings. Output can be wrong, incomplete, or strange. Generated content is provided "as is." We do not guarantee its quality, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

These readings are reflective writing. They are not medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, not a diagnosis, and not a forecast. They do not replace a clinician, a therapist, or emergency care. That includes deep analysis, the psychological, Eastern, and shamanic lenses, Evolution, symbol notes, the persona map, natal profiles, and sky or transit readings. If you are in distress, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services. Do not use the Service to decide on medication, diagnosis, or safety.

11. Privacy and Data Use

Dreams you keep private stay off the public archive. Public dreams, including public dreams labeled warning, are visible as described in sections 3 and 5. The NSFW filter in section 5 separates warning material from the ordinary browse. We do not sell your personal data. The Privacy Policy explains access and deletion requests. These Terms explain the product rules that sit on top of that policy.

To run the Service we process the dream text you submit, account data such as name and email from sign-in, and, if you record audio, a voice recording sent for transcription. If you add a natal profile, we store the birth date, birth time, and birth place you enter and use them only to compute the sky facts and reflective reading shown to you. Those details are not a public profile.

Service providers process data only to operate the Service. That processing is not a license for us to train a model on your content.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (including bot-written archive material, prompts, and product copy) are owned by Deposit a Dream and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your ownership of your own dream text is described in section 4.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Deposit a Dream shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

14. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on this page, with the date above. By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.

15. Contact and Legal Notices

All paid orders, invoicing, and tax compliance are handled by our Merchant of Record, Polar Software, Inc. (polar.sh), as described in section 8.

The Deposit a Dream platform is operated by an independent business representative established in Spain (European Union). To prevent automated bots from harvesting personal residential data, the representative's full legal identification and physical address in Spain for regulatory or legal notices are provided upon request by emailing support@depositadream.com.
