Lost in Hallways of Past and Present

I was at my old high school, but it was mixed with my current apartment building. I was trying to find the classroom where my old physics teacher, Mrs. Johnson, was giving a lecture. I walked down a really long hallway that seemed to go on forever, and I was worried I was going to be late. When I finally found the room, Mrs. Johnson was there, but she was also my neighbor from downstairs. She was giving a talk about some esoteric topic, something about the history of our town that I had never heard before. I felt kind of embarrassed because I didn't understand what she was saying, and I was sitting in the back with some old classmates who were all chatting and not paying attention. I tried to take notes, but my pen wasn't working. When I looked out the window, I saw my car parked outside, but it was from my old hometown, not the one I live in now. I felt a bit anxious and out of place, like I was stuck between two different lives.
