The Endless Aisle of Canned Goods by the Station

I was supposed to meet my sister at the old grocery store by the train station, but the entrance I usually use was boarded up. I went around the side and found a service door that opened onto a long aisle of canned goods that never seemed to end. The lights were half off, and every few steps the shelves looked more like the stockroom at work. I kept checking my phone for her text, but the screen just showed the store map, and the little blue dot stayed put no matter how far I walked. Somewhere past the cereal I heard a cart squeaking and thought it was her, then realized it was just an employee restocking. I felt stupid for being late and a little thrilled that I'd found a part of the store I'd never seen, like if I kept going I'd come out near the station platform. I never did.
