Trapped in the Wholesale Grocery Store

Trapped in the Wholesale Grocery Store

I was stuck inside the massive wholesale grocery store near my parents' house, only it was closing down forever and the power had completely cut out. Outside, there was this intense, howling freezing rain hitting the roof, and I knew if I left without warm clothes or food, I wouldn't make it home. My coworker Dave was there, though in the dream he was also acting like my high school track coach, yelling that we only had ten minutes to scavenge whatever we could carry. The aisles went on forever, way darker than normal, and my phone flashlight barely cut through the gloom. I was desperately trying to shove protein bars and heavy wool blankets into a cart, but the front wheels were completely seized up. Every time I tried to push it toward the glowing emergency exit, the floor felt slick like wet ice and I could barely get any traction. I woke up right as the heavy metal security gates began clattering down over the exit.
