I dreamed I was at the grocery store near my apartment, but the aisles were also the hallway at my old office. I was looking for my wallet. Someone had taken it from my coat on the chair by the dairy case. I kept walking past the same freezer, checking my pockets, getting more annoyed than scared. A neighbor was bagging oranges and wouldn’t look at me. Then my coworker from last year was at the register, except she also felt like my sister. She said security wanted to talk. I couldn’t find the security office. Every door I tried opened onto the parking lot, then back into the store. I thought I saw my own coat on someone else near the exit, but when I got closer it was just a stranger. I woke up still trying to remember if I’d actually left my wallet at home.
