Lost in Scrubs at the Interstellar Docking Terminal

I was late for my shift at what was supposed to be the local hospital, but it was actually a massive interstellar docking terminal orbiting Jupiter. I had my normal lanyard and blue scrubs on, but everyone else was wearing stiff white officer uniforms with golden braided collars. I couldn't find the breakroom to stow my bag, and the corridor just kept curving endlessly past huge, curved observation windows showing distant transport freighters gliding past orange cloud bands. My old high school chemistry teacher was suddenly the fleet commander, barking over the intercom about an urgent diplomatic convoy docking at bay four. I tried to hurry, but my sneakers had no grip on the metal grated floor and I kept slipping in slow motion. When I finally reached the locker room door, my badge wouldn't scan because my civilian clearance had expired three star systems ago, and everyone in the hallway just politely pretended not to notice my panic.
