Looking for Cereal in the High School Hallway

I was at the grocery store after work, looking for the aisle with cereal, but it kept turning into the hallway of my old high school. I needed to find my phone because someone had called twice from a number I almost recognized. Mrs. Patel from next door was stocking shelves, except she also felt like my lab partner from junior year, same voice. She said I was supposed to meet them by the frozen food, but when I got there it was the empty auditorium with the lights half on. I kept checking my pockets. The phone was in my hand the whole time, screen dark. I tried to call back and it just rang in another room I couldn’t reach. I had this tight feeling like I’d forgotten something important, a conversation I was supposed to finish. Then I was late for the bus home and the doors closed on my bag.
