Looking for My Badge After Hours in the Office

I dreamed I was back in the office after hours, looking for my badge because security wouldn’t let me leave without it. The floor plan was our old building mixed with the grocery store near my apartment. Someone had left a window cracked in the break room and the copier was still warm. I kept thinking a coworker had taken a laptop from the conference room, but I couldn’t remember whose. I checked under desks and in the fridge like that would help. In the hallway I ran into my neighbor from downstairs, except she was also my old manager, and she asked if I’d seen the person who used the side stairs. I felt guilty even though I hadn’t done anything. I tried to call my partner and my phone kept opening the notes app instead of the dialer. When I finally found my badge it was in a coat that wasn’t mine. I woke up still convinced I’d missed a detail.
