Missing the Monday standup in the parking garage

I dreamed I was late for the Monday standup and couldn’t find my phone. I was in our office but the hallway to the kitchen kept stretching, like I was walking toward the break room and also boarding something. My manager was there, except she felt like my old college roommate too, and she asked why I wasn’t in my seat for the jump. I looked down and I had on pajama pants with my work badge. Everyone else was in normal clothes waiting by the copier, which hummed like engines. I kept searching for conference room B, the one we always use, but the door numbers skipped and I ended up in a stairwell that opened onto the parking garage at night. I felt that anxious rush of missing the start, plus this weird longing like I’d forgotten someone on the other side of town. Then I realized my keys were in my pocket the whole time and I woke up embarrassed I’d been so frantic over nothing.
