I was at the local library, but it looked partly like the coffee shop near my old apartment. I was trying to find a table to work on my laptop, but every seat was taken. Then someone called my name, and it was a guy I used to have a massive crush on in college, though in the dream he worked at my current company. He waved me over to share his booth. When I sat down, our knees brushed under the table, and my whole chest got that warm, fluttery nervous feeling. He leaned in really close to look at my screen, smelling like rain and cedar, and told me he had been hoping I'd run into him all week. He put his hand over mine on the mouse, not saying anything, just smiling. I felt this intense rush of relief and attraction, but right as I opened my mouth to suggest getting dinner, my alarm went off.
