Hidden Lockers Beneath the Middle School Mall

Hidden Lockers Beneath the Middle School Mall

I was back at my old middle school, but it was connected to the basement level of the mall near my current apartment. I was trying to find the nurse's office to get my coat back, but every time I opened a door, it led into these massive, unfamiliar storage wings I'd never noticed before. My cousin was with me, though he was also acting like my high school track coach. We ended up crawling through a low archway behind some folded cafeteria tables and found an entire hidden wing with high ceilings and rows of vintage lockers. It felt thrilling, like discovering a secret level in a place I thought I knew inside out, but I also had this nervous knot in my stomach that a security guard was going to catch us or that we'd lose the path back to the food court before closing time.
